License Overview
When you purchase a Method123 product, we'll provide you with a license agreement to use the product in your personal or business environment. If you'd like a basic overview of the key principles included within the license agreement, then please read on.
The purpose is of the license agreement is to provide you with a legal license to use the templates.
The best way to use our product is to save the template purchased, then make a copy of the template and change the copied version. That way you'll leave the original version unchanged for the next time you need it.
Method123 owns the original content of each template purchased. You may customize each template to suit your business or personal needs by changing the content and removing our branding. You own any customizations to the document so if you send out a customized template to your project team / peers, they won't need a license to review or edit it.
Anyone who makes changes to the original template will need a license to use it. For instance, say you have 5 Project Managers in your organization and each will need to use the templates on their projects by customizing them for their own projects, then you will need a 5 user license.
Although single user licenses aren't transferable, if you purchase a Multi-User License for a specified number of staff and one of those staff members leave, then a replacement staff member may use the templates under your original license.
Multi-User licenses aren't 'concurrent', e.g. if you have 5 Project Managers and only 1 will be using the templates at any point in time, then you will still need a 5 user license.
Here's a list of some of the things you shouldn't do with the original content from the templates purchased: sell it, give it away, make it available for unlicensed users, sub-license it, hire it out or publish it.
Your license to use the templates lasts forever so you may use this license for as many projects as you wish.
